UX Designer | Contract

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and government stakeholders to design intuitive user experiences.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to improve product design.
• Translate complex requirements into user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
• Ensure design consistency and usability across the whole-of-government analytics platform.
• Contribute to design decisions throughout the full product lifecycle — from discovery to delivery.
• Advocate for user-centered design and accessibility best practices.
• Work in an agile environment and support sprint activities.
• Analyse user data and feedback to continuously enhance user experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related field.
• 4–5 years of experience as a UX Designer or in a similar role.
• Excellent portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of front-end development concepts is good to have.
• Experience working in agile product teams.
